Prayer Ministry

The Vision

At SoulBridge we believe that prayer should be an active part in everything we do. We believe that God still speaks through his gifts and we believe that prayer is a place to grow and participate in those gifts. At Soulbridge our goal is to provide a place for people to grow and actively use prayer both in the church but also in their daily lives.

Two areas of prayer ministry

Here at Soulbridge we have two areas of ministry specifically dedicated to Prayer.

Prayer Ministry Teams: The first area of ministry is the prayer teams. These teams are trained to minister in prayer directly to those in need. The most visible time that prayer teams are active is at the end of the regular service when the pastor does a call forward. Members of the prayer teams are expected to go to the side of anyone who has come forward and begin to pray for these individual/s. The prayer team members are encouraged to pray in teams of 2-3 with those engaged in prayer. This model facilitates both an encouragement to the prayer team member actively praying as well as the individual receiving prayer.

Intercessory Prayer: The intercessor is an individual or individuals who intercede for anything that the Lord leads them to or the person feels the desire to pray for. Intercessory can happen anytime or anywhere and does not have to be outwardly directed to the person who is being prayed for. In fact many times intercessors pray entirely in secret. It is between the Lord and the individual as to whether the intercessor reveals what they pray for. Intercessory members can pray on Wed. mourning at the church during the hour of prayer or they can pray at anytime or any place and for anyone. Intercessory is an area where we intercede for the people or things laid on our hearts. We may pray everyday at home for the church or an individual. We may intercede during the service for the pastor while we sit and listen to the sermon. Intercession is a quiet often-unknown strength in the church. The more intercession a church has, the more likely that church will be strong and moving in the direction the Lord calls. Intercession does not require training at Vineyard of Marysville. It is however highly encouraged for all church attendees to actively participate and make intercession an active part of life.

At SoulBridge we value the gifts, talents and desires each woman brings to our community. Our desire is to provide opportunities for all women to learn, to grow and to serve. We want women of all ages and in any stage of life to find a place to connect, to build relationships and explore faith in Jesus so that they can become vibrant and empowered members of the body of Christ.
